When you’re done, the Voyager alpha is installed and open on its welcome screen, ready for setup.
Before you start
  • A PC with Windows 11 on a 64-bit Intel or AMD processor. Windows on Arm isn’t supported.
  • The Windows version is an alpha: recording your screen, letting the agent use other apps, footage search and working in DaVinci Resolve aren’t available yet. See Requirements.
  • The alpha isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows shows a warning the first time you run it. Steps below.
  • Voyager is free to download.

Install Voyager

1

Check Smart App Control

Open Windows Security → App & browser control → Smart App Control.
  • Off: continue to the next step.
  • On: Windows will block parts of Voyager, including sign-in, the terminal and media tools, until a signed version ships. Read Smart App Control and the Windows alpha to decide what to do before you install.
  • Evaluation: Voyager works today, but Windows may switch Smart App Control on later, and parts of Voyager may then stop working.
2

Download the installer

Sign in at voyager.so, or create a free account, then go to Download in your dashboard. Choose Windows (x64 · .exe installer).
3

Run the installer

Open the downloaded .exe. If Windows shows Windows protected your PC, click More info, check that the app is Voyager, then click Run anyway. The installer installs Voyager for your Windows account and opens it. You don’t need administrator rights.
4

Read the welcome screen

Voyager opens on its welcome screen. If Smart App Control is on or in evaluation, a notice under Set up says so, with a Learn more link.

Check it worked

Voyager is open on its welcome screen with a Set up button and no Smart App Control warning. Voyager is in your Start menu for next time. Voyager updates itself. New versions download in the background and install when you restart Voyager, or the next time you quit and reopen it. See Updates.

If something went wrong

Click More info first; Run anyway appears after it. If your PC is managed by an organization, its policy may not allow unsigned apps. Ask your administrator, or wait for the signed version.
Smart App Control is on and is blocking the part of Voyager that saves your sign-in. Reinstalling or updating Voyager doesn’t get around it. Read Smart App Control and the Windows alpha for your options.
A policy on this PC, usually one your organization set, is blocking parts of Voyager. Ask your administrator whether Voyager can be allowed, or wait for the signed version.
Click Try Again first. If the message says your disk is full, free up some space, then try again. If it offers Repair and Start, click it: Voyager sets the damaged data aside and keeps everything it can read. If none of that works, get help.
