Make an eight-second animated title, then change one detail and save the finished video.
Before you start: Finish setup and connect a chat account. You can use your own Claude or ChatGPT; a paid Voyager plan is optional. This exercise uses text, shapes and local rendering, so it needs no media credits or media keys. Your chat account’s normal usage limits still apply. Chat through Voyager models uses Voyager credits.
You do not need footage, a logo or a separate video editor. On Linux alpha, the finished file may be WebM if MP4 encoding is unavailable. See platform requirements.

Make a motion graphic

1

Start a chat

Click New chat in the sidebar. You can leave this chat without a project: Voyager gives it a folder for its files when you send your first message.Check the model picker below the message box. Choose your connected Claude or ChatGPT account if you want to use your own.
An empty Voyager chat with the message box and New chat in the sidebar. An empty Voyager chat with the message box and New chat in the sidebar.

Start with an empty chat and check which account will answer.

2

Choose how to answer questions

Open Question answers below the message box and choose Always ask. This lets you answer any creative questions yourself while you learn. You can change this later. Balanced counts down to the recommended answer; Autopilot selects it immediately, including answers that approve paid generation. See approvals and spending.
3

Describe the result

Paste this request, then click Send or press Enter:

A short request can specify the words, look, timing and finished file.

If this is your first motion project, Voyager may need to download tools before it can render. Read any setup question and let that work finish.
4

Follow the work

Read the updates in the chat. Answer any questions about the design or setup. If the agent shows a preview first, give feedback or ask it to render the finished video. The Jobs tab in the right panel shows supported background jobs. A queued job is waiting to start; you do not need to send the same request again.
5

Watch the result

Play the video in the reply. Check that the wording is correct, the circle moves smoothly, and the final title stays on screen long enough to read.

Play the finished video before asking for a revision.

6

Make one revision

Send a small, specific change in the same chat:
Play the new result. You can also point to a frame or draw around a detail with video review.
7

Find the finished file

Right-click the finished video and choose Save video to save a copy, or use the reveal action to find the original in your file manager. Copy full path gives you its location.Voyager has no Export button for this step: the agent has already rendered a video file. Find your file explains the folder and version controls.

Try generated video instead

For a scene that needs newly generated footage, connect a generation provider. You can use your own media keys, which need no Voyager plan, or Voyager credits from a plan. Your Claude or ChatGPT does not pay for media generation. See current plans and pricing.
Generated stills, animation and additional takes can cost money. Choose Always ask for this walkthrough, and review the estimate before approving. Autopilot can approve generation immediately, even above your spend limit. If Automatic fallback is on and a provider is out of credits, rejects its sign-in or is down, Voyager tries the next one in your list. That may bill a different account. Turn it off in Settings → Accounts → Generation providers, or ask Voyager to pin a provider for this job.
  1. Start a new chat and choose Always ask under Question answers.
  2. Ask for a short, two-shot video:
  3. Approve the still-image work after reading its estimate. When the stills appear, check the subject, composition and consistency between shots.
  4. Choose Approve and animate if you like them. To revise some stills, flag each one with Redo and add an optional note on what to change. To revisit the look, choose Change the overall direction and type the new direction in the same card. The animation option includes an estimated cost and time.
  5. Follow progress in Jobs, then play, revise and save the finished video as above.

Review the stills and the animation estimate together before choosing an answer.

Voyager asks before spending more than your limit (in Balanced and Always ask). The limit is a preference the agent follows, not a hard spending cap. Set your preferences before a larger project.

Check it worked

You should have a playable video, a revision in the same chat, and a file you can open outside Voyager. For the motion graphic, the editable source should also be available in Files.

If something went wrong

Check whether you chose Voyager models for chat or asked for generated media. For the motion exercise, choose your own connected Claude or ChatGPT account and repeat that you want only text, shapes and a local render. See accounts and agents.
Ask: “Render this approved version to a video file and show me the result.” A preview lets you review the design; the finished video still needs rendering.
Look for a question or approval card in the chat, then check Jobs. Queued work may be waiting for a free slot. If generation failed, read the error before starting another paid attempt; generation problems explains the next steps.

Next: review and revise

Leave a note on the exact frame or time range you want to change.
