# Computers, phones and cloud GPUs

> Use Voyager from your phone or a browser, keep work going on a cloud computer, and let the agent borrow a cloud GPU for heavy renders.

Voyager runs on your computer, but your work doesn't have to stop there. You can:

* **Use Voyager from your phone or another browser**, talking to the Voyager on your computer.
* **Add a cloud computer**: your own computer in the cloud, running Voyager, that keeps working when your laptop is closed.
* **Use Cloud GPUs**: let the agent borrow a powerful GPU for a heavy render, simulation or export, then hand it back.

All three are in **Settings → Devices & sharing**, except Cloud GPUs, which are in **Settings → Creative**.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Before you start:** sign in to your Voyager account. Each feature needs a paid plan:
>
> | Feature | Plans |
> | - | - |
> | Cloud computer | Starter and up |
> | Cloud GPUs | Starter and up; higher plans can use more GPUs at once |
> | Phone and browser access, and reaching your other computers | Creator and up |
>
> On a plan that doesn't include a feature, Voyager shows an **Upgrade** button instead. See [voyager.so/pricing](https://voyager.so/pricing) for plans. Cloud computers and Cloud GPUs use your plan's Voyager credits while they run.

> [!TIP]
>
> If **Devices & sharing** shows **Upgrade your chats to use other devices**, click **Upgrade chats**. It's a quick one-time upgrade: Voyager restarts once to move your chat history.

## Use Voyager from your phone or a browser

**1. Turn it on**

On the computer running Voyager, open **Settings → Devices & sharing** and turn on **Use Voyager from another device**.

**2. Choose how other devices reach this computer**

Under **How other devices reach this computer**, choose **Works anywhere** to connect from any Wi‑Fi or mobile data through a private link, or **Home Wi‑Fi only** to allow only a phone on the same Wi‑Fi.

**3. Connect your phone**

With **Works anywhere**, scan the code with your phone's camera, or open **app.voyager.so** in any browser. Sign in with your Voyager account, then choose this computer.

With **Home Wi‑Fi only**, click **Show a code for your phone** and scan it with your phone on the same Wi‑Fi.

**4. Get alerts, if you like**

On your phone, turn on **Get alerts on this phone** in **Settings → Devices & sharing** to hear when a chat needs you. On an iPhone, first tap **Share**, then **Add to Home Screen**, and open Voyager from there.

Your computer needs to be on and running Voyager for your phone to reach it. Turn on **Keep this computer awake while a device is connected** to stop it sleeping while you work from your phone. **Ask on this computer before a new device connects** and **Tell me when a device connects** let you approve and watch new devices.

Every phone and browser that signed in is listed under **Connected devices**. Click **Remove** to sign one out.

If you use Voyager on more than one computer with the same account, **Your other computers** lists them, and your phone at app.voyager.so shows all of them.

## Add a cloud computer

A cloud computer is a computer in the cloud that runs Voyager for you. Work keeps going when your own computer is closed or asleep, with more room for big projects. It sleeps when you're not using it and wakes in a minute or two.

**1. Start adding one**

Open **Settings → Devices & sharing** and click **Add cloud computer** under **Cloud computer**. You can also choose **Add a cloud computer** in the computer menu below the message box on a new chat.

**2. Choose its settings**

Give it a **Name** and pick a **Size**; tick **Add a graphics card** if you need one. Set **Sleep when idle** and, if you like, a monthly **Spending limit** in credits. Each size shows its credits an hour. You can change the size later; your files and chats stay.

**3. Create it**

Click **Create cloud computer**. Then choose **Set up providers**: the Voyager model is ready straight away, and you can sign in with your Claude or ChatGPT plan, use an API key, or copy keys from this computer. Click **Skip for now** or **Done** when you're finished.

**4. Move a project onto it, if you like**

Pick a project to move now, or later from the project's menu in the sidebar with **Move to cloud computer…**. Moving a project starts from the desktop app.

Your cloud computer keeps itself up to date. If the Voyager app you're using needs an update to work with it, the chat shows an **Update** button.

### Run a chat on your cloud computer

On a new chat, click the computer menu below the message box (**Run this chat on**) and choose your cloud computer instead of **This computer**. If it's asleep, Voyager asks before waking it, because waking starts billing. Inside a project, work runs wherever the project is.

If you have a cloud computer and open a chat whose computer is offline, for example from your phone while your laptop is closed, the chat offers **Continue on cloud computer**. That starts a new chat on your cloud computer with the conversation. The files stay on the original computer until it's back.

### Control what it costs

In **Settings → Devices & sharing → Cloud computer** you can see **This month**'s spending, **Sleep now** or **Wake** it, **Change size**, set **Sleep when idle** and a **Spending limit**, and see **Spending alerts** at 50, 75 and 90% of your monthly credits. It comes out of your plan's credits, like everything else. **Delete…** removes it.

## Let the agent use Cloud GPUs

For heavy work, such as a long Blender render, a simulation or work that needs a CUDA GPU, the agent can start a cloud GPU, run the job, bring the results back and release the GPU.

1. Open **Settings → Creative** and find **Cloud GPUs**.
2. Choose when to use them: **Ask** (the agent asks first, with the time and credits), **Always for heavy work**, or **Never** (all work stays on your computer).
3. Choose how many GPUs one task may use, up to your plan's limit, or let the agent ask.

The same choice applies on all your computers. You can also flip **Let the agent use Cloud GPUs** in the computer menu below the message box on a new chat. While a GPU is working, its card in the chat shows what it's doing and whether it's still billing.

Want to use a cloud GPU outside the app, from a terminal or a coding agent like Claude Code or Codex? See [Cloud machines](https://docs.voyager.so/api/machines/overview.md), including [rendering with Vork](https://docs.voyager.so/api/machines/vork.md).

## Common problems

> [accordion] “Cloud computers aren't available on your account right now”
>
> Cloud computers need a paid plan (Starter and up) and a seat on it. Check that you're signed in with the account that has your plan, and, on a Team, that you have a seat. See [voyager.so/pricing](https://voyager.so/pricing). If it still shows, contact support with **Send feedback** in the app.

> [accordion] My phone can't reach my computer
>
> Make sure the computer is on, awake and running Voyager, and that **Use Voyager from another device** is on. With **Home Wi‑Fi only**, the phone must be on the same Wi‑Fi; choose **Works anywhere** to connect from elsewhere.

> [accordion] The chat asks me to update Voyager to use my cloud computer
>
> Your cloud computer is on a newer version than this app. Click **Update**, then restart Voyager when it's ready.

> [accordion] Heavy work runs on my computer instead of a Cloud GPU
>
> Check **Settings → Creative → Cloud GPUs** isn't set to **Never**, and that your plan includes Cloud GPUs. On a plan without them, heavy work runs on your computer until you upgrade.
